Whether we like it or not we must stop our wasteful ways and take better care of the world that our grandchildren will inherit. A colossal proportion of the damage comes from our every day living and more particularly from our homes. 'Dunroamin' and 'Chez Nous' have got to clean up their act. Happily there are a whole host of sustainable and eco friendly options available to us now and things continue to change and improve almost on a daily basis.

Half of the carbon emissions that we keep reading about come from our buildings and more than half of that pours out of our houses. Fortunately there are other ways of doing things and lots of very clever people are hard at work on our behalf inventing new techniques for making our homes greener, warmer and more energy efficient. Energy costs are spiraling, seemingly out of control, so we say – get mean – go green and save - don't rave.
